CEC’s Professional Awards
Through the CEC Professional Awards, we recognize special educators who have advanced the field as well as CEC members who have contributed to the Council in significant ways. They include the J.E. Wallace Wallin Special Education Lifetime Achievement Award, the Clarissa Hug National Teacher of the Year Award, the CEC Special Education Research Award, the CEC Outstanding Leadership Award, the CEC Business Award, and the CEC Outstanding Public Service Award. The Yes I Can! Awards
The Yes I Can! Awards honor children and youth with disabilities who excel in nine categories: academics, arts, athletics, community service, employment, extracurricular activities, independent living skills, self-advocacy, and technology. Each year, CEC selects approximately 27 winners to be acknowledged at the CEC Annual Convention & Expo. All nominees receive a certificate of accomplishment. Download this flyer and spread the word.
